WHAT I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO

It's been a while since I've posted any new content, but now that Fall quarter is over I'll try changing that. I'm currently in the process of writing some new music for a couple different projects and getting more ETRNLST threads printed. Even though I've been struggling with this horrible machine (my laptop), I've managed to keep up with my musical needs.

J. Cole's latest mixtape Friday Night Lights is one of two albums I've had on heavy rotation. I personally think this is a step up from his last release - The Warm Up. Click the album cover to download the mixtape.

The other album I've been listening to a lot lately is Miguel's All I Want Is You. It's really dope how much he's done in the last few years - from doing work with Blu and Exile on Below the Heavens to where he's at now - a nationwide tour with Usher. Good job, Miguel!

POETRY AND MUSIC

Recently, my friends SuperB and Shane Romero filmed a couple videos for Young & Direct Entertainment. I think the videos came out great! Shane and SuperB are also representing the IE at the National Poetry Slam this summer. I heard something about an upcoming tour too...

MUSIC FOR RELIEF

Music For Relief is a non-profit organization founded and run by artists, music industry professionals, and fans to provide disaster relief aid, as well as funding for research on prevention of such disasters. Recently they have teamed up with a dynamic arsenal of musicians to release a compilation of songs which pay tribute to Haiti. We have all seen the news broadcasts, articles, and tragic photos of the hundreds of thousands who desperately need help. Even if you don't like the music, make a donation if you can and share the music with someone who does. Don't believe just because you can only make a small donation it won't make a difference, it will! Times like these truly test the strength of unity in humanity, and now with MFR you can make change in harmony.
"It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do little - do what you can." -Sydney Smith
