GOODBYE BLOGGER

Dear friends,

I will no longer be updating this blog. From now on, everything I do can be found here. I may be a traitor since I've switched over to Tumblr, but it's just been more convenient lately. Thanks for all the love over the past year. I appreciate it all. I hope you will all continue following me on my journey.

Thank you.

PAID DUES 2011 | RECAP

I feel sorry for all the poor blokes that missed out on Guerilla Union's 6th Annual Paid Dues Festival this year. A great day of Hip-Hop and breezy Southern California weather, and after it all, I just had two words to say - BLACK STAR.

The crowd during Binary Star.

My homie MC Futuristic stays on the grind. Check out his music. It's fresh.

Mistah FAB wearing a Hiero tee, representing for Oakland and the whole Bay Area.

Hyphy.

This is my good friend Mondo from the one and only Matt and Mondo's Punk Rock Power Hour. We talked about girls and Pokemon. I'm serious.

I like this picture a lot. Visionaries onstage.

P.O.S. is not a piece of shit at all. He's actually a really nice guy and is great at what he does. One of my favorites for sure.

Met this dude with a cool Supreme cap and I snapped a pic.

Security guards and Scarub (Living Legends/Afro Classics).

I ate here. The food wasn't great, but the stand looked cool.

Rawth (Asher Roth and Nottz) on the main stage with this sunset. Until next time.

JUST A THOUGHT | NYC

I've been thinking about NYC a lot lately. This is one of the only pictures I have of myself in the city and it represents a lot to me. I made one of my dreams come true on my own. After I got back, I was fully convinced that really anything is possible. Hope can go a long way. Dream, focus, and attain.

JIM GRECO

Jim Greco. I looked up to this guy growing up, and pretty much anyone else from Piss Drunx. Not their personal lifestyles, just the skateboarding and the way they carried themselves. I loved their fuck-it attitude. It had a strong influence on me when I was developing my own style. Their creativity helped me see skateboarding in a way that was unconventional to some, but I liked it. I even did my best to dress like him too. Anything Reynolds or Greco wore in Baker2G, I tried to copy. White dress shirts? Never bought any, but I found enough in my closet to wear almost everyday. Ripped jeans? Duh. Emerica's? Why would I wear anything else on my feet!? Trucker hats? Yup! Oh, I even had his Krew sunglasses. Ask anyone I went to high school with, they'll tell you!

I'd do anything to relive those days.

INTERSTELLAR OVERDRIVE ART SHOW

If you haven't figured it out yet, this blog is for the things I do, people I know, and stuff I like. My good friend Cameron Aiken is showcasing some of his work tomorrow night at Interstellar Overdrive at the Active Rideshop in Rancho Cucamonga.

 (I didn't take this picture)

I've known Cameron since my freshman year of high school, back when all we talked or cared about was music, skateboarding, and playing guitar. It feels great seeing someone I've known for so long on the come up doing something they love. This is what inspires and motivates me. Thank you, Cam!

Hope to see you guys tomorrow night at the show!

MC PROTOTYPE - CHASING DREAMS FT. SCARUB | OFFICIAL VIDEO

Yeah, I know, it's been a while, and I'm gonna do my best to update this blog more often. So what better way to get back into it than with my big brother MC Prototype's new music video!

"Chasing Dreams" was filmed and directed by Original Knockoff, the same team that brought you Pro's last video. The song and video features an all-star cast of players: CookBook of LA Symphony produced the track, DJ Nickyboi(Surf Ninjas Crew) provided the cuts, Brett Woods, who also sang on "She Is" off The Ones Overlooked, and a true living legend(literally!) Scarub of the Living Legends and Afro Classics.

Conscious of the mixtape-driven industry, MC Prototype is redefining the limitations of traditional Hip-Hop songs. By teaming up with a nonprofit organization, "Chasing Dreams" is more than just a single, it's a campaign and a movement for hope. More info will be announced soon on Pro's site. For now, enjoy the video, leave comments, and take something away from this song.

One last thing... Pro is wearing the ETRNLST drip tee in the video! I can't even begin to explain how cool that is. I'm honored and thankful to know such amazing people.

LEVI MAESTRO "INFINITY PIECE" LA RELEASE

I'm going to be in Los Angeles this afternoon at Shayan Afshar's shop for the release of Levi Maestro's Black Infinity Piece. I've been following and supporting Maestro's work for a little over a year now, and aside from the Maestro Knows episodes, the Infinity Piece is some of his best work yet. Not only based on its design, but what it represents.

At first glance, the Infinity Piece looks like a watch, but it doesn't actually tell time. It serves as a reminder that time is not a factor when you're doing what you love. Good work, Maestro.

MARQUISE HENRY: SKATEBOARDING IS FOREVER

It feels like I haven't posted any skateboarding on here in a long time. As I was writing that last sentence I remember Joon's game of skate that I posted not too long ago. Speaking of Joon, this is his homie Marquise Henry. You guys know him. If you skate or were ever a skateboarder, you have probably owned products from most of the brands he rides for. This is quality. Skateboarding IS forever. Enjoy.
